π Beenup Wetlands, 20 Years On

At Syrinx, wetlands are at the heart of what we do. From restoring degraded ecosystems to designing nature-based water treatment solutions, we are passionate about protecting and enhancing these vital landscapes.
Often called the kidneys of the planet, wetlands are among the most productive ecosystems on Earth. They filter water, store carbon, support biodiversity, and connect communities to their environment. Yet, they are disappearing at an alarming rate. Now more than ever, we must protect and restore these critical ecosystems.
Through our work at Syrinx, including projects like the Burnie landfill leachate wetland in Tasmania, the Winiata nitrogen removal wetland in New Zealand and other constructed wetland designs across Australia and New Zealand we are committed to solutions that restore wetland function while integrating cultural, community, economic, and ecological values.
