This past September marked one year since works were completed at the Albert Street Branch Drain in Perth, WA.
Syrinx designed the revegetation and erosion control for the drain embankments, supporting long-term stability and improved ecological outcomes within this highly constrained urban site.
44,000 native plants and trees were established during winter 2024, with supplementary planting in June 2025 🌱
Syrinx continues with ongoing vegetation monitoring, maintenance and implementation support to help ensure successful establishment and plant survival.
While the drain itself includes hard engineering elements, the Syrinx planted embankments are now taking shape, bringing structure, nature, resilience, and biodiversity back to the corridor.
This project highlights how nature, targeted revegetation design and ongoing stewardship can make a meaningful difference in creating greener, more resilient urban spaces.
